Therese Shechter is an award-winning freelance art director and graphic designer. She especially loves to work in the beautiful and increasingly rare world of publication design. Her clients have included The New York Times, Newsweek, Auburn Seminary, and Yale University.

Therese enjoys working with authors and filmmakers to develop visual branding and web design for their creative projects. She has also created annual reports, media kits, power point decks, web sites, branded event materials, and merchandise for both corporate and non-profit clients.

Prior to becoming a freelancer, Therese was a Graphics and Design Editor at the Chicago Tribune, overseeing a staff of 17 designers and art directing two major Pulitzer Prize winning projects.





Therese has been honored by The Art Directors Clubs of New York and Toronto, Society of Publication Designers, Society for News Design, and the Chicago Headline Club's Lisagor Awards.
