Therese Shechter is an award-winning freelance art director and graphic designer. She especially loves to work in the beautiful and increasingly rare world of publication design. Her clients have included Newsweek, The New York Times, Fortune, and Men's Health.

Therese has done annual reports, media kits, promotional campaigns, identity and web sites for a variety of corporate and non-profit clients. She also works with authors and filmmakers on visual branding for their projects.

Prior to becoming a freelancer, she was a Graphics Editor and Art Director at the Chicago Tribune, overseeing a staff of 17 designers and creating visual direction for two Pulitzer Prize winning projects.





Therese has been honored by The Art Directors Clubs of New York and Toronto, Society of Publication Designers, Society for News Design, and the Chicago Headline Club's Lisagor Awards.
